Following the success of the Nokia X, Nokia has finally launched the Nokia XL into the Indian market.

 

We can expect much of the software to be the same i.e. the Android OS with Nokias own flavor mixed in.

Everything about the Nokia XL is bigger than the X. the most noticeable change is the 5” screen which makes for great viewing. To complement this Nokia has also put in a 5 MegaPixel camera for clicking pictures / videos and a 2 MegaPixel front facing camera to use for video calls or selfies, whichever you prefer.

No android phone would be complete without access to the google play store, and the nokia XL is no different. You can choose to download any of the thousands of android apps available to the android market.

Taking a page out of the Asha Series, the Nokia XL comes equipped with fastlane. It enables you to quickly access your favorite / recent apps with just a swipe of your finger.  You can also customize your homescreen with resizable tiles, which let you keep your favorite apps / media right where you want them.

 

Finally the XL comes with HERE Maps. Like google maps, it is a turn based navigation system which can be found on most Lumia devices in the market.  Just be sure not to overuse it since data charges will apply.
