How to use mPowerpad

1.       Switch on device by pressing the thumbwheel 2 seconds till the green LED lights come on.

2.       mPowerpad has in-built AA rechargeable batteries. Use the power adaptor to fast charge the mPowerpad for the first time. Or you can directly charge the mPowerpad under sunlight, such that the solar panel is fully exposed to the sun.

3.       Charge fully: If using the power adaptor, charge the mPowerpad till you see that the battery indicator LEDs blink. If charging under the sun, charge the mPowerpad in clear sunlight for 6 hours. Note that charging times may be longer for cloudy days and in high temperatures and where the panel is not angled at the sun.

4.       While charging devices on mPowerpad, make sure to switch on mPowerpad first.

5.       To select or switch off any function like lights or radio, use the thumbwheel to scroll to the function and press. The green light means “on” and red light means “off”.

6.       Using the Radios:

a.       Use the thumbwheel to select the AM or FM radio function.

b.      You can scan different channels by scrolling to  and pressing to change channels.

c.       You can go to a specific channel by doing the following. Go to the logo    and select it. Then, dial the radio frequency as a 4 digit number using the numbers on the dial as indicators. Eg., if your channel is 92.3 FM, scroll to the frequency selection mode. Then scroll to 9 and press, scroll to 2 and press, scroll to 3 and press and scroll to 0 and press. The radio will play the channel 92.3 now.

d.      There is no in-built memory. Radio plays back the last played channel.

e.      If you want to change volume, select the volume function when the radio is on. You will see the dial with the ring of green LEDs glow. Use the thumbwheel to scroll up or down to adjust volume accordingly. If all LEDs are glowing, then the volume is at maximum.
